Further bolstering our support for non-profits beyond grants is the CAFF Foundation Resource Room and Foundation Center Cooperating Collectionan array of tools, information and training to enable growth and sustainability for area non-profits.
The Frueauff Foundation believes that in order for organizations and institutions to not only survive but to thrive, they must have well-educated and trained staff, a supportive community, and loyal donors. The Foundation Center helps to insure the above through on-line tutorials and workshops. Organizations are provided the necessary tools to find and efficiently cultivate support.
The Resource Room provides current publications on board development, nonprofit management, financial and risk management, strategic planning, and an array of books, periodicals, and articles. Within the Resource Room, nonprofits are invited to use a computer equipped with Grant Station and the Foundation Center Cooperating Collection for their research needs. Some of the resource materials may be checked out, while others may only be photocopied.
The Resource Room hours are 8:30- 4:30 (M-F). CAFF staff provide Foundation Center training and support. CAFF and the Central Arkansas Library System, also a Cooperating Collection site, provide a comprehensive resource listing.
The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) is also a Foundation Center Cooperating Collection Site and offers additional resources for those searching for individual funding needs rather than not-for-profit sources.
We encourage you to visit the Foundation Center website right from your own office. There are a number of great tools available on a regular basis and often free. (Look at the webinars they offer.) FoundationCenter.org
